Videos are a fantastic way to enhance your content strategy. With Base you can easily embed YouTube videos directly into your news section on your Flex website. This allows visitors to watch videos without leaving your website, keeping them engaged and informed.

Step 1 - Open YouTube and find the video you want to share on your website

Once you have opened YouTube, find the video you want to share in your news section.

Step 2 - Select share and copy the code

Click on the share button below the video

After selecting share, a new window will open to showcase different sharing methods. You need to choose "embed"

A new window will open that will have a preview of the video on the left and code on the right. Click "copy" on the bottom right-hand side

Step Three - Log into your Base account and start a new news article

Follow the steps to add news to your website here

Once you have your editor open, add your text

Now you are ready to add your copied code to the editor. Start by clicking on the "< >" icon

This will open a new window that looks like this

The code can be copied into this window before or after the text. Remember to keep it within the <p> and </p> as this is your HTML code that indicates a text block.

Now you can click "save" to save the code for the video. Your editor should now look like this

Add all the other required details as outlined in the help file for adding news to Base and hit save when done.

Your news will be automatically added to your website with your embedded video. As a tip to ensure best practices for SEO, do not post the video without any context. Add text to the news explaining what you are discussing in the video and link to any other content on your website that relates to the topic at hand.
