My email takes longer than I expect to deliver/send

There are various factors that could have an impact. Most email accounts are hosted on our international servers to provide you with a cost-effective email solution. Sometimes there are international connectivity issues that will cause email to take slightly longer to deliver, especially emails with large attachments.

If the email takes a long time to send from your email program this is most likely a problem with your internet service provider (ISP) if it is a small email. Larger emails, however, take longer to deliver depending on your line speed.

Using the incorrect SMTP server can also cause issues with email sending thus always use the settings we supply you.

My email takes very long to download

The first thing you should do is to check that you have enough available bandwidth or that there aren't any problems with your ISP (internet service provider).

If you struggle to open websites, the email will be problematic too. The problem could also be with very large emails waiting to be downloaded. You can investigate by going to your online email (mail.yourofficename.co.za in most cases), log in, and remove the large email message there before trying to download it again to your email program.
